Frequently Asked Questions

What media do you specialise in?

Kelvin specialises in oil painting on Belgian oil-primed linen. His drawings are done with charcoal on paper.

How will the finished artwork be presented?

Drawings will be coated with acid-free fixative, mounted on archival matt board, and hand-wrapped in an acid-free presentation sleeve.

Paintings will be stretched on a natural-wood frame, and ready for wall display.

Do I send you a picture, or must the person be present for you to create the artwork?

You can either:

(1) Send us a picture for Kelvin to use as painting reference (send more pictures if you’re not sure, we can advice you on which one works best), or

(2) Sit for a painting in our studio or at your own location (this takes at least 3 to 4 hours – great for figurative art, a challenge for kids!), or

(3) Book a photo-shoot with us, then choose your favourite photo to paint from.

Talk to us to discuss the best option for you.

Can you change the background?

Yes. Kelvin can customise the background, and include specific details to add meaning to the artwork.

What sizes do you provide?

For drawings on paper, sizes range from 8×10″ (~A4) to 16×24″ (~A2).

For paintings, sizes range from 10×12″ to large, wall-sized artwork.

How do you price your artwork?

Our pricing is primarily based on media (charcoal or oil), size, number of people portrayed, and complexity (e.g. a customised background costs more). Framing is priced separately depending on available designs.

As a guide:

An 8×10″ (~A4 size) drawing with a simple background is SGD400 for an individual or a couple.

A 12×16″ (~A3 size) oil painting is SGD1280 for an individual or a couple (simple background, stretched and ready for display).

Share your preferences and ideas with us – we’ll be happy to explore the best options for you.

How do I place an order?

Get in touch! Once we agree on the price, we collect a 50% downpayment to commence work. Balance is due upon completion of artwork.
