Survivors<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

One fine day in August, eighteen gorgeous women walked into my studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\u2019re not exactly young – most are above 50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But they\u2019re the most beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are also the craziest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No one ever made so much noise in my studio. No one ever laughed so much, and so loud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They brightened my place. They made me laugh, and cry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They brought life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So much life, I couldn\u2019t believe they were victims of breast cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They survived, but cancer will always be part of them. No one knows when, or if, it will return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet, instead of waiting for death, they embrace life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead of burdening others, they found courage to support the ones they love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every day is a gift. A chance to embrace your children, your family. A chance to feel the sun on your face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s so easy to say, \u201clive our lives to the fullest!\u201d But until we face death, we may never appreciate the life given to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been privileged to photograph these eighteen courageous women, but my words and photographs can never express how much they’ve inspired me, and the ones they love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
