I started photographing brides with nothing but plain boring backdrops, and a couple of studio lights.
With nothing in the background to make my photos interesting, I was forced to work with only 2 things: light, and the person in front of me. It was probably the best photography training I ever had.
I’m still shooting plain boring backdrops today. Perhaps others may describe beauty with complicated vocabulary, but I believe it’s best said with simplicity and heart.
